10 JULY - 20 JULY 2011

'Birds and butterflies of the undiscovered'

Kyrgyzstan is located in the central part of Central Asia and represents one of the most interesting mountain areas of our planet, the Central Tien-Shan Mountains, located on the northern flanks of the Himalaya mountain range. It reaches 925 km from the East to the West and 453 km from the North on to the South. The total area of the Kyrgyz Republic makes 198, 5 thousand sq. km.

Green valleys are not uncommon in Kyrgyzstan. Camping in the remote area of May Saz!

The mountains reach over 7000 meters (Pobeda 7439m) at the north-eastern edge of the country and in the southern regions (Lenin 7134m) on the border with Tajikistan. During this trip we will make a round tour visiting all the Nature Reserves in northeast Kyrgyzstan. This trip is assured for fantastic mountain scenery and splendid birding. We shall go birding and butterflying, in green mountain valleys, on high grass-plateaus, in juniper and pine forests, alpine meadows and along the Issyk Kul and Son Kul Lakes. This tour is especially good for photographing!!
