Central Asia Birding
Machiel Valkenburg and Madina Dyussebayeva are Central Asia Birding. They have met each other during a birdingtrip of Machiel to Kazakhstan. They both share a passion for nature and birds and this resulted in Central Asia Birding.
We are offering two types of tours :
Fixed departure tours
Individual tours
Fixed departure tours
These are birding trips set out by Central Asia Birding. You can enrol individually or with some friends for this trip. The dates, prices and itinerary for these trips are prearranged. The tours will have a minimum of 7 people and a maximum of 14 people. The itinerary for these trips is set out carefully in order to see as many species of birds as possible and still have enough time to enjoy and admire the beautiful nature of Central Asia.
Individual tours
These tours will be completely designed to fill in your individual wishes. They are very suitable to groups of friends who wish to go birding together. We will study your wishes and preferences and set up an itinerary for you and with you!! Contact us for further information.
Tours with Central Asia Birding
The fixed departure tours with Central Asia Birding are for everybody. If you love nature and you are not looking for that one particular species only you can book a tour with us. If you are an expert and interested in seeing or photographing birds also the fixed departure tours are the tours for you. We will adjust to the wishes of the group whenever possible.

Guides
We work with local ornithologists from the Institute of Zoology in Almaty. They are experts on the Flora & Fauna of Central Asia and will be able to tell you everything you wish to know, the local guides speak English. Some tours are lead by the Dutch ornithologist Arend Wassink, author of the book Birds of Kazakhstan. They are the key to a successful trip!!
The Birds of Kazakhstan
If you book a tour with Central Asia Birding you will receive a copy of the book "The Birds of Kazakhstan" by Arend Wassink and Gerald Oreel for free. Arend Wassink is an expert in the avifauna of Kazakhstan, for the tours to Kazakhstan we work closely with him to optimise the quality of our tours to this beautiful and spectacular country.
